Combine those two things, and you'll never suffer from writer's block.
I've suffered the disappointment of coming back to a piece and having to delete hours of yesterday's work. 16, 32, 50 bars of music.
But that actually makes it easier for me to write, knowing that future-me will never let anything go that isn't good enough. I have a colleague whose judgement I trust absolutely to edit me in the future. Myself.
Trust yourself, delete the bad writing, and keep going.
